Hunter&Talent is excited to be working with a well-known High-Frequency Trading firm in helping them search for a skilled Linux System Administrator. The role will be located in their Headquartered office based in Chicago, IL.

The role
As one of the System Administrators, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of client-facing and internal server infrastructure systems that allow trading strategies to run worldwide. Some of the key responsibilities will include hardware and software installation, configuration, remote administration, monitoring, and automation tool development.
Required
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix System Administration.
- Hands-on experience with Python or Bash scripting in an operational capacity.
- Experience implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting Linux/Unix operating systems, Internet-based applications, and web servers.
- Provide the root cause analysis of incidents/problems.
- Passion for technology and learning new things.
- Experience with SQL querying.
Qualifications
- Must have 2+ years of industry experience either at a High-Frequency Trading or FinTech firm.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, or related technical field.
- Strong willingness to grow and ambitious.
