Location New York (Remote during COVID)

Our client is a prominent quantitative hedge fund that is seeking a talented Java Software Engineer to help enhance post-trade processing using modern distributed streaming platforms such as Kafka, Redis, and Flume.

What You Will Do
As a Senior Software Engineer will help maintain existing systems, develop new features, and support various ad-hoc stakeholder requests. You will help the team in implementing a next-generation platform for clearing and managing counterparty communications. You will also participate in expanding platform capabilities based on rapidly changing business requirements and providing Level 3 support across the globe.

What You Will Bring

  • Expertise in Java Development
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Experience with Linux servers
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in Financial Services
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ownership experience and a track record of delivering results
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Bonus points!

  • Experience implementing a microservices architecture
  • Experience with streaming architecture – Kafka, Redis, Flume
  • Exposure to post-trade systems, specifically within operations and clearing
  • Experience implementing and deploying applications on the cloud (AWS)
