Hunter&Talent has partnered exclusively with a global quantitative trading firm that is seeking a Software Engineer from an extensive hands-on Python programming background.
The role
As a Software Engineer, you will be part of the Data Engineering team that is responsible for building robust data pipelines that ingest over 30TB of data each day!
Key responsibilities:
- Work closely with business partners across to understand their data needs
- Work with engineers, researchers, and portfolio managers across the organization to onboard interesting new datasets
- Build stable, productional data pipelines to support the firms trading activities
- Extend and improve data onboarding framework as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or similar technical field
- Minimum of 3 years’ full-time work experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
- Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on Python programming experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in building ETL pipelines
- In-Depth experience developing data workflows and a good operational understanding of data operations, including processing, storage, quality, and management
